CCA is delighted to announce the new release by Bernardo Álvares, a lifelong friend and companion on many musical adventures. On this record, Bá and his luxurious quintet experiment with restraint and minimalism, a radically different exercise from his last collaborations, namely 'TiaAvô' and '&Fantasmas'. In case there were any doubts, here is further proof of the versatility and creativity that make Bá one of the most important musicians on the Lisbon music scene today.
‘I see experimental physics as blind shots in the hope that filtering the data from that small part of the universe through existing theories will help to knit the cosmic mayonnaise just a little tighter. And I believe that in musical experimentation there is the same ambition to reflect and document the unknown, according to methodologies that are also experimental.
