"Sonda"

Francisco Marujo aka Carga Aérea has been part of CCA's extended family for a while now. We've booked him a bunch of times, he's worked with Aires...We always had the goal of working together, something that never materialized, until now. We couldn't be happier and prouder of this release. There are only four tracks, but they represent a long period of maturation, which began in September 2019, while the artist doing Erasmus in Holland. When he showed us the EP, Francisco explained that it was born from a process of investigation and inner searching, both in terms of composition and, to some extent, even academically, as a way to overcome creative block. He emphasized how each of the tracks acted as a portal to memories of very specific moments, feelings, places, and people closely tied to that phase of life. At a time when ambient has been devalued as background music, dominated by playlists, bots, AI or corporate greed, releases like 'Sonda' remind us of the honesty, the vulnerability that characterizes the best experimental music. These songs are emotional, evocative, but never too obvious or straightforward.
