Some records just take us by surprise. Using feedback, tape manipulation and field-recordings, Giacinto, the moniker of italian sound-artist Angelo Bignamini, captures a tense and menacing atmosphere that is difficult to shake off, as if you're listening to small extracts from supposedly long-lost diaries. A mysterious and aloof approach to noise, complex in the way it brings together elements and textures seemingly so far away from each other. This is a fever dream from which we don't wake up very easily.
