Once rooted in post-hardcore and metal, his playing has since become stripped-down,ambient, guided more by instinct than technique. 'A Few Meaningful Things' — his second solo work and first for Colectivo Casa Amarela — lets strings collide with live processing, a luminous meditation on simplicity, touching many styles while belonging to none.

This album is an intimate balance between impulse and care, echoing the artist’s own life: music, work, and family pulling against one another, each tension feeding the need to create. Drawn from countless hours of home-recorded sessions and mastered by James Plotkin, these pieces distill Avitabile’s most personal voice yet, a post-genre guitar language of immediacy and quiet devotion
